Can I breastfeed after COVID-19 vaccination?

YES

The vaccines that are currently available have not been tested in breast-feeding women. The approved COVID-19 vaccines do not contain live virus particles so there is no risk of COVID-19 virus particles being passed on through breastfeeding. Long-term studies are currently underway to further investigate these effects. The Belgian Superior Health Council states that women who are breastfeeding can be vaccinated as no toxic effects in infants are expected. It is possible to discuss this with your gynaecologist or paediatrician.
