Can I still infect others with COVID-19 if I am vaccinated? Do I still need to wear a mask after vaccination?

It is not yet known whether someone who has been vaccinated can or cannot transmit the COVID-19 virus to other people. The results of the studies show that the COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer and Moderna)  protect about 90% to 95% of the vaccinated people against COVID-19 infection. This means that about 5% to 10% of the people who are vaccinated can still become infected with the COVID-19 virus. The AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine has an efficacy of 76% and the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine an efficacy of 66.3%. Therefore, everyone, including those who have been vaccinated, should continue to wear the mask for the time being and follow the current precautions.
